The Features of “Quran’s Esoteric” From Traditions’ Point of View

Abstract: the present article aims at studying the topic of Quran’s esoteric and Quran’s inner interpretation from Ahlul-Bayt traditions’ point of view. The main issue is about this point that what general and public features can be outlined regarding the inside of Quran by looking up traditions. It is obvious that knowing these features can help in comprehending the interpreted traditions reached us from Ahlul-Bayt which are quite a few and can make a change in opinions concerning authenticity of these traditions.

The author of the present article points out to four general features of Quran from traditions’ point of view: 1. Villayah-oriented tendency of esoteric of Quran, 2. The possibility of existence of separate esoteric for each independent Quranic subject matter, 3.the possible relationship between the surface of a verse with esoteric of another verse, 4. The possible relationship of esoteric of one verse with the esoteric of other verse.

The author attempted to explain these features by making examples from the above-mentioned features.

 

The Origin of Appearance of Quran-Sufficiency Among Quran Reciters of Early Islam

Abstract: one of the social groups formed at the beginning of Islam was reciters or قرا from whom a group called Khavarej came into existence. Paying attention to the reciters of Quran in a way that separated them from other classes of society bring up this question that why did a significant part of reciters turn into Quran sufficiency? Here, we reread the effect of the time of the second caliph on the development of “حسبنا کتاب الله” (i.e. Quran is enough for us.) among reciters.

 

Authority of The Surface of Quran From Mirza-Isfahani Point Of View

Abstract: the authors of the present article tried to explain the opinion of Mirza Mehdi Isfahani on the topic of “the complete authority of Quran” (حجیت جمعیۀ قرآن) in the realm of teaching and clarification and accordingly they showed the surface authority of Quran. To do this, they talked about the chapter “تعویل بر منفصل”, which is one of the main keys of Mirza Mehdi Isfehani’s opinion concerning Quran, and clarified the difference between his opinion and those Akhbariyun who does not regard surface of Quran as a Hujjah.

 

A Review And Study of The Causes of “ Quran Sufficiency In Interpretation” of Abul-Fazl Burghe’ee

Abstract: Abul-Fazl Burghe’ee, one of the contemporary elites, believes in Quran sufficiency in interpreting Quran, needless of infallibles’ traditions. He mentions some reasons for this claim, such as: Quran is clear and contemplating on it is essential, there is no need to comprehend the interpretation of moteshabeh verses, there is no need to refer to Imams’ interpretations as Quran in understandable, the wordings of the traditions are more difficult than the verses, the existence of contradictory and false news in interpretational traditions, the essentiality of agreement of traditions with Quran, non-existence of interpretation at the beginning of Islam. The present article includes a review of these reason and proving the essentiality of using traditions in explaining Quran.  

 

A Report of The Book “Rethinking Tradition In Modern Islamic Thought” By Daniel W.Brown

Abstract: the present article is a brief report of the book “Rethinking tradition in modern Islamic thought” by Daniel W.Brown. This book is organized in seven chapters and along with expressing the Islamic modernity spectrum, deals with some topics like the classical conceptions of Prophetic authority, the emergence of modern challenges to tradition in its first two chapters. Then by raising these questions “where is the end point of revelation and starting point of interpretation?” “What causes the difference between Divine Destiny and human belief which quotes or interprets the former?” “What is the role of human nature of Prophet on the process of revelation? tried to clarify the Boundaries of revelation. Then he explained the authenticity of hadith and in the following pictured the confrontation of Sunna with Islamic revivalism.

 

A Look at The Interpretational Method of Abul-Fazl Burghe’ee

Abstract: in this study the interpretational method of Abul-Fazl Burghe’ee applied in two books of him “ Ahkam al-Quran” and “ the contradiction of Mafatih with Quran” has been scrutinized. His approach was Quran sufficiency. i.e. sufficing to Quran without making any reference to other sources including tradition books, history books and consensus of opinions. The present article includes examples of personal reference of Burghe’ee to these sources which clarify he was not committed to his claim. Besides this, according to the mentioned reasons, this claim is not acceptable.
