Human beings have been always attached to a set of believes which could have been a “religion”. Interest in eternity, morality, perfectionism and likewise were attractive elements to absorb human beings to a religion or set of believes to help them seek their lost one there. For this very reason it is highly advised to have a sound recognition from religion.

It worth mentioning that as much valuable and effective a true religion can be in serving human beings and humanity, a distorted man made religion can harm human beings in a long run. In the other word, any misunderstanding or abuse of religion can mislead mankind, ending up in irreversible losses as we have witnessed during the course of history specifically in the recent years.

Islam in this regard enjoys a special place; Islam is the religion of millions of people. They occupy a vast geographical region in spite of their disagreement concerning some Islamic issues which are derived from various interpretations. Muslims are living their life based on their Islamic belief, which in fact means they are organizing their life style accordingly.

Knowing this religion well – based on its authentic sources and not the actions of its followers as in some cases are against it or too far from it - is of high importance for two groups: for those who are its followers, lest to undermine it by their false interpretations from it and also for those who are not Muslims and due to the wrong behaviour of some Muslims find this religion a non-humanitarian religion which is completely the opposite.

“Safinah al-Nejat” is a quarterly journal which comes to introduce Islam. We wish to focus on some points - as Quran teaches us i.e. based on Ḥikmah and benevolence – regarding a religion which its Prophet is called “ a blessing for all” and its Quran is “an eye opening lesson from God and a cure for all pains”.

We, by unbiased reviewing Islamic authentic religious texts, realized that Islam had been started by morality and it should be continued. Invitation to this religion without observing fundamentals of morality is meaningless.

To this end, we endeavour to revive the moral and ethical fundamentals in the world of violence and extremism.

“Safinah al-nejat” is a quarterly which belongs to anyone from any walks of life, any religion, race, nationality and thought. We welcome any comments or suggestions.

We ask God to help us with His blessings and we ask our readers to help us with their comments, articles and ideas to be an open window to the truth.
